1964
Very easy choice, one of my all time favourites:
Didier Haudepin in "This special friendship"------------------------------------------------------------------------
Backtracking:
1975
Jackie Earl Haley in "Day of the locust" gave the most memorable performance.
My favourite however was the adorable Sven Grothe in "Flowers for the Man in the Moon" an East-German movie,
followed by Jeffrey Lynas in "Lies my father told me",
Richard Constantini and Paul-Eric Shulmann in "Un sac de billes",
Christian Juttner in "The Boy who talked to badgers",

Other favourites that year included Leif Garrett in anything and Lee Montgomery.
1974
Best performance:
Alfred Lutter in "Alice doesn't live here anymore".
John Sutherland in Montreal Main was also very cool
Michael J Wixted was probably my favourite in 1974, as he was a busy actor that year. One of the things he was in was QBVII, which I'd love to see again.
Another favourite peddling his wares around that time was the very cute Leif Garrett.
1973
Best performances in 1973 by far were as Zab says, by girls, Tatum O'Neal and Linda Blair
However, disregarding them, I'd choose
Brandon Cruz in The going up of David Lev" as my favourite,
unfortunately I haven't seen that movie since then.
Runner up is Clay O’Brien who was appealing in "One little Indian"
followed by more recent inclusions:
Ulf Hasseltorp in Den Vita Stenen
Jan Ohlsson in "Emil and the piglet"
César Chauveau in "Le Pélican"
I also remember Richard Beaumont in "Digby the Biggest Dog in the World", Richard was very cute,
and there was Johhny Doran in an earlier version of From the mixed up files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

Best performance and favourite as well is
Andrea Balestri in "Avventure di Pinocchio"
followed by:
Chris and Martin Udvarnoky in "The Other"
Kevin Hooks in "Sounder"
Gabi Otterman in "I love you Rosa"
Lee Montgomery in "Ben" and "Pete 'n' Tillie"

Best movie performance,
Benoît Ferreux in "Murmur of the heart"
Favourite was Roderic Noble in "Nicholas and Alexandra"

Other semi-notables that year were:
Peter Ostrum in "Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory"
Mark Lester in "Who Slew Auntie Roo"
Lee Montgomery in "The Harness" and "Million dollar duck"
Ian Weighill, Roy Smart in "Bedknobs and broomsticks"
and for his striking looks, Bjorn Andressen in "Death in Venice"
Last but not least the adorable Trent Lehman in 'Nanny and the professor", the only reason to watch that show.
1970
Very easy choice for best performance:
Dominic Guard in "The Go-between"
however my favourite was easily Brandon Cruz in "The courtship of Eddie's father" on TV.

Miguel Alejandro and Reuben Figueroa in "Popi"
Jean-Francois Maurin in "Secret World"
1968
Best performance" Jack Wild in "Oliver"
runner up: Mark Lester in "Oliver"
However I must take another look at Michel Terrazon in "L'enfance nue" for a possibly revised opinion.
Others of note:
Warren Raum and Ryp Siani had a certain appeal in "Robby"
and Barnaby Shaw was worth a look in "House of Cards"
1967
Best performance: Alain Cohen in "The old man and the boy"
however Gerald Michenaud was probably my favourite around that time.
