"Doing" the play?  That means what: Acting in it?  Staging it?

If you are referring to the version with Brandon Baker as Mowgli then the answer to your query 'is this one any good' is IMO .... no it's not very good. I rated it 6/10, but that is an average of 2 scores, 8/10 for Brandon Baker, and 4/10 for the film itself.

If you're talking about the movie Second Jungle Book Mowgli And Baloo I would say you should check it out. That is my favorite version. I love Jamie Williams as Mowgli. To me Jamie Willams was the best, coolest, most awsome Mowgli EVER!!! He was perfect in every way and I really think you should try that version. It's the best.   Smiley

I agree with you about Jamie, he was perfect. The film was passable.

What I'd really like to see is a European version with a top notch director and a realistic vision of the story.

LOL Cal, what on earth could a European version do for a story like this ?!?!?

As you probably know from even some recent films from this country ("Home" being one, in which a gallery was submitted today), there isn't a lot of worry around here about 'true & loyal' adaptations.

A great deal more than Disney could do.
