After having seen this movie about half a dozen times I am finally going to get around to saying something about it from both the producers words and my own.
Australia was filmed in what you term the " Epic" style of films is that is the correct term. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman join forces with visionary director Baz Lurhmann in Australia, an epic and romantic action adventure set on the brink of World War II. When English aristocrat (Nicole Kidman) travels to this faraway continent, she meet rough-hewn cattle drover (Hugh Jackman) and an enchanting aboriginal child (Brandon Walters). This unlikely trio join forces and embarks on a transforming journey, driving a herd of cattle across hundreds of mile of the world's beautiful and unforgiving terrain. When their world is torn apart by powerful enemies, they must try to find each other amidst the bombing of the city of Darwin by the Japanese forces that attacked Pearl Harbor. With his new film, director Baz Lurhmann is painting on a vast canvas, creating a cimematic experiance that brings together comedy, romance, dramatic adventure, and spectacle.
As I mentioned before I have seen this almost three hour movie many times and have not tired of it yet. I love it more everytime I see it. It is a very magical adventure told through the eyes of a child (Brandon Walters) with a theme song you all will recognize immediately and will transport you back to your own childhood. This movie has pretty much everything in it. Brandon Walters does such an amazing job in this epic adventure and I'm sure he will capture your hearts as he did mine.
If you haven't seen it yet you
MUST SEE this movie. I don't think you will be disappointed. Make plenty of popcorn.
