noticed I was his bday today just thought I woould post this.

wow he was a great actor.  the audtion look like it was improvesed and for him to be able to bring up tears.

no kidding!  that was one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen - and it was only the audition!

I always liked Henry Thomas. I liked him in E.T. and Cloak And Dagger. He was very good in both movies. Seeing him in this audition was just amazing. He did such a great job. Henry Thomas was always an amazing little actor. Thanks for the link.   Cool

I'm late in replying, as usual. Sorry.
I remember being blown away by Henry's audition when I came across it on the anniversary DVD of E.T. a few years ago.

I remember Spielberg commenting that he thought they had come close to mental child abuse in the staging of that audition. I guess Henry Thomas got some serious cuddling afterward.  Cry

I think Henry was one of the most talented child actors of all time. Always believable and natural and he could cry realistically at will.
