I watched him in an episode of The High Chaparral a couple of weeks ago. He was a couple of years older than in Popi. He had quite a decent part in it too and caught the eye of the Cameron Mitchell character. It was the perfect opportunity to add him as a regular on the show. Alas it did not happen, and after a series of dangerous misadventures Buck leaves the kid behind, complete with a tearful farewell and an 'I love you Buck" which reminded me of the ending to the classic "Shane" movie.

I've watched Popi several times over the years.

Cal, can you tell me which season and episode number of High Chaparral he was in? The episode title would be helpful too. I don't suppose you might know where I can find that episode? I would love to see it. They don't show that here anymore.

Is the second pic of him in my series from that episode?

K,
Name of the episode?

It's a secret. Actually I'll give away this huge secret and tell you. We have a database here at BA, don't tell anyone though   Smiley

Check here:

plus you can find the episode on my IQ recorder's hard drive.  heh.  Smiley

Umm, if you promise you won't tell anyone I can burn the episode to a DVD and send it to you, or I can convert it to an .avi video and upload it to Rapidshare.

Hey Cal, if you were so kind as to upload this on Rapidshare for K, I'm sure a few other of us would like to take advantage of this offer and download it as well. Wink

I've uploaded an avi of

The High Chaparral  episode: "Fiesta" (1970)
guest starring Miguel Alejandro to:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

It's a single 645mb file.

I haven't tested the download, if anyone downloads it please let me know if it downloads ok, and if the vid plays properly. etc

#Note: the vid was originally recorded to my TV player's Hard Drive and then burnt to DVD, then copied onto my computer's hard drive, and finally converted to an .avi. before uploading to MegaUpload. Meaning that the vid is not as pristine as I'd have liked it to be.

I'm not an expert with converting DVD to .avi, I'm far more familiar with doing the opposite. I tried to keep it at the highest quality I could without incurring those nasy pixilations and blurriness that I often see on lower resolution vids, hence the 645mb size of the file.

Two minor problems: Merging two .vob files (from the DVD) together has caused a minor sync problem with the audio later in the vid, it is only out by a mini second though and not a major distraction, also there is a narrow black border on either side of the vid, again not a major problem, but I did spend a few hours experimenting to try and eliminate the two little problems alas to no avail... sorry about that.

Thanks SO much Cal for this upload! I just watched it today and it is a very good episode and Miguel was at his peak of perfection in this. Wonderful 'bonding' story. And not to mention Miguel goes around with his shirt wide open all the time!  Tongue I must say Miguel was a very good actor. Very believable. Thank you again for your time and effort in doing this.

It looks good most of the time. On my 13 year old analog 27" TV it fits the screen perfectly with no black bars on the sides. I saved it to a memory stick and play it through my DVD player. There was only one rough spot for a few seconds when the video went very blurry and out of focus but eventually it got back in focus. Other than that the picture quality is very good!  Smiley

Thanks for the upload, Cal. I'm downloading it, though I have to warn you it may be months before I get a chance to watch it. But I'm glad to have it. Smiley
