I can't find anyone that will state this, but it seems like this phrase came from a radio show hero of the 1930's.

I'll state it  Cheesy I just clean forgot about JACK ARMSTRONG, THE ALL-AMERICAN BOY! He must have been on radio in the 40's and 50's also because I remember listening.

The expression covers a lot of ground, for most oldtimer Americans conjuring up images (well, for me anyway) mostly rural of a boy who likes fishing, skinny-dipping, skipping school, playing tricks on girls, fights or smoking cornsilk cigs behind the barn, etc. Oh and baseball of course.

Hmmm. I guess I just described Tom Sawyer. Except maybe for the baseball.

So ... it is sort of a secret conversation.  Only those who clicked on a thread called "Connor Dunn" know about it.

How is that different from any other conversation in any other thread on any other forum on the internet? In other words, what's your point?

If you have a topic of wide interest, you would start a thread with a title cleverly chosen so that others interested in that topic would see it and join the conversation.

For example, if you are interested in Connor Dunn, you would start THIS thread.

But that is just in my imatinary world, it seems.

Okay, Hosenhaus. I will not post in your topics anymore. Sorry.

Just when I thought this fiasco of a conversation was starting to get pleasant. Guess I was wrong. This is no place for discussion. I'll go back to limiting my comments to "cute boy" and "thanks for the caps."

Oh, dear me!

Children! Children!

Connor would probably be delighted by all fuss he instigated.
And look at all those brownie points for hosenhaus.

Right now! hosenhaus you go to one corner, joseph to the other. Choose your favourite handbag and come out swinging on the count of three...

1...2.....3....    Smiley
