A rather nice looking boy named Shintaro Morimoto is the lead actor in a new Japanese film called "Snow Prince"...

His DOB is July 15th, 1997

He's got good reviews for his performance and he sings quite nicely too, not necessarily in the film, which is apparently a tearjearker with a similiar story to "Dog of Flanders". It seems that he's a member of a boy band called "Johnny Jrs".

From the movie - super cute dog.

His brother Ryutaro sure was cute a couple of years earlier...

Shintaro is very nice. Just needs a haircut that's all. His brother, Ryutaro, is even better.
Wonder if 'Snow Queen' will ever get here. There aren't many Japanese films that appear in our cinemas and even less on DVD.

Beautiful boys! To my taste, the jet black hair of Japanese boys lends itself nicely to a longer, face-framing length.
Wonderful smiles, too.  Smiley

I agree that that Shintaro's hair style is a bit unflattering. It's not the length that's a problem, to me it seems to be the style of cut. A lot of Japanese teens go for that look for some reason, but I can't help thinking that it looks like they are wearing a dead cat on their head. On the other hand Ryutaro's hair in the bottom pic looks really good, I like the length and the slightly dishevelled shaggy look.

As for the movie's availability, a lot of recent Japanese movies come with English subs these days, which is something I wish the French and especially the Russians would get into the habit of doing automatically.

I think his hair looks perfectly fine. That's not what I call long hair.
Also, I belive many teens/boys wear that particular "dead cat" hairstyle look because just look at any Anime graphic novel or movie/TV show. They almost all have that hairstyle.

This is the first I have heard of the film cal, thanks for posting about it.

I don't think Johnny's Jrs. is a band per se. This term refers to boys who are with Johnny & Associates talent agency in Japan which specializes in young male musical acts. A better detailed description is available here (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
