Yeah, it's been winning major awards. Michael Haneke was the director of Funny Games, which polarized opinions more than most movies usually do.

I've got The White Ribbon, and I'll watch it eventually but I've got to be in the right mood. His stuff is usually not very uplifting and can be quite depressing, to say the least.
