Seva Nikolaev ...? Er ... yes, well what about him, 'hosenhaus'? Who, what, wittle-wattle, whys and wherefores? I mean what actually has this little Russian (I assume) dumplingpot of a boy appeared in ... actingwise? I've never heard of him and if I haven't heard of him then he can't be much of a boy actor ... aaaaarg - only joking. Wink

HEY NOW!!!! We'll have none of that nasty talk here. LOL!!! Really now, I couldn't read this stuff if my life depended on it. I'm amazed that this stuff could even be typed out. Anyway, the boy is cute. Thanks for the cool pics. I could never understand those " movie titles " if this is in fact what you put here. For all I know you could have been calling us all brainless jerks and losers. Just kidding. Thanks for the pics.   Smiley

Babelfish turns this into...

2010      House of culture (in the production)
2010      Door (in the production)
2010      Left hedgehog the fog (in the production)
2009      Carefully, children!::  It is pea::  the main role
2008      Step by step::  Showa
2008      Will arrive flying suddenly the magician::  [Misha]::  the main role
2008      My dear witch
2007      New village::  Splitting::  the main role

But automatic translation needs some skepticism.  In the 2007 movie, the character name "Kolya" is tranlated as "Splitting" for us.

Thanks for the translations. Carefully Children It Is Pea? Yeah, o.k. I've used babblefish and it's funny how it never matches with the translator I used to use when I had a google toolbar before I dropped google. Anyway, thanks.   Smiley

Which is better, Babelfish or Google translate?

2010 House of Culture (in production)
2010 Door (in production)
2010 released hedgehog out of the fog (in production)
2009 Careful, kids! :: Pea:: main role
2008 Step by Step:: Syowa
2008 Return suddenly magician:: Misha:: main role
2008 My favorite witch
2007 New Village:: Kohl:: main role

Google Translate appears to be the more intuitive translator.

The strangest thing I've seen Google's translator do is translate "Morrison krijgt een zusje" into "Meet the Spartans"!!!

It should of course be Morrison gets a sister...

The moral of the story here is, translators don't work. LOL!!! But I think that google is better which is why I used it. Obviously they aren't flawless but still, they seem more accurate than Babblefish.   Smiley

Among my old favorite movie titles of all time, were these:
The Roots of Heaven
I Heard the Owl Call My Name (TV movie)

Forget it! Now I would rush out to ANY theater showing,
Left hedgehog the fog
or,
Will arrive flying suddenly the magician

How could anyone resist?  Grin

That is indeed very weird! There must be an explanation. I think Google translate makes use of several databases beyond just dictionaries. Possibly it's recognizing the "Morrison krijgt een zusje" as the title of a film from 2008 but some database has its wires crossed and it brings back the wrong movie title.

I tried translating Meet the Spartans into Dutch to see what would happen. The English-to-Dutch translation is... "Meet the Spartans."

???

My guess is that someone's playing a joke - Google lets you suggest a better translation, so what's probably happened is some has suggested Meet the Spartans as a better translation - and Google's just accepted it without doing any checking...
