Don't know how many of you are familiar with William Smith's young son Jaden who stars in the remake of "The Karate Kid" but believe it or not I kinda made friends with him today on Twitter. I helped him with setting up his new Facebook account as he didn't know how to make a custom URL for his Facebook. He was just on Twitter until today. Now he has accounts on Facebook, MySpace, and Formspring as well as Twitter.

He seems like a pretty nice kid and quite smart too. I wasn't really planning on watching The Karate Kid as I am not really into remakes and I really liked the originals. But I think I'm gonna go see it now and support Jaden's career. Good Times!

Well, I don't know if another would consider Jaden to be cuter than Ralph Macchio or a better actor. As well all know Ralph was a hottie and a naturally talented actor. But I will say that physically he is much better trained and skilled physically as a martial artist goes. From some of the pics I've seen he has some pretty impressive kicks. His form is pretty damn good as he actually prepared himself physically for this film for several months. Being able to do a roundhouse kick or sidekick completely vertical, in otherwords so high that it looks like your doing the splits all the way while standing up is very impressive. I've only known a couple of people that could do that and I trained in and taught Karate for many years.

I haven't seen much of Jaden's acting yet but obviously it is in his genes from his parents and they can provide him with the best coaching and representation. So one would tend to expect a lot from him. Personally I believe he will deliver.

Yeah Ralph was a young man that just looked like a boy. Late bloomer I guess. I don't recall any Ted Jan Roberts in Karate Kid. Jaden is definitely a real boy and is looking good. I think Jaden will turn out to be an outstanding actor once he gets some more experiance under his belt.

I know who Jaden is. He was in an episode of The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody. But since there aren't very many Sprouse fans here I'm sure that most of you didn't know that. He was really good in that show and I'm sure there are people who are going to knock the show and the fact that he was in it. But still, I liked him in the episode that he was in and I think that he will be a great Karate Kid. I didn't really like the original Karate Kid. I like Jaden and I think he will do a fabulous job in the movie.

Yes, your eyes did. I never gave anybody any rating. I said I don't recall a boy named Ted Jan Roberts in the Karate Kid although when I looked him up I did see something called the Magic Kid. And I said that yes Ralph Macchio was a young man and believe actually over 18 when he made Karate Kid which makes him the Karate Adult that just looks young for his age.

At least we can all agree the Jaden is quite a cutie, has great and quite athletic body, and is a real kid since he is 11 going on 12. Since he did actually train in martial arts under Jackie Chan for several months before the filming started and already has great form as demonstrated in the above picture shows his seriousness as an actor.

I think Jaden was pretty decent in Karate Kid.  Not award winning acting or anything but better than many other kid actors I've seen over the years. He's got a presence about him which IMO will make him a big star. I can see him being an action star in a similiar vein to his father.
