an awesome early '70's TV episode!

from Rod Serling's Night Gallery no less.
"Silent Snow, Secret Snow" is a short story by Conrad Aiken and it was adapted and directed by a fellow named Gene Kearney who became a regular writer/director for the series. Kearney had a few years earlier done a cheaper black and white version of the story which is viewable also at YouTube under the proper name of the story. This was obviously a pet project of his.
In tone and quality this episode is miles above the usual for Night Gallery. It is astonishing really to find it here. I had read the short story years ago and never forgot it. When it first aired, I came onto it somewhere in the middle and some part of me never ceased hoping and searching for it. I found it for rent at Netflix and couldn't wait to try to share it. (If you are a Netflix user, look for Night Gallery Season 2 Disc 2.) The second season is also available for sale at Amazon for a pricey $40.

The boy star who does a stunning job is:

For Youtube I titled it "Boy Fantasy" in hopes of dodging deletion by the paranoid people at Universal Studios. I would gladly have given a plug to Night Gallery but some studios apparently don't believe in that.
I ripped the video in the highest quality I am capable of so that it would be nicely viewable full-screen. I had to do it in 2 parts so I am sorry for the break in mood.

This boy is so totally super cute. And the episode and story are very good. I like Night Gallery and where I'm at the show airs every Sunday evening. But for some reason they don't ususally show this episode. It is a very good one and I really like the boy that is in it. Thanks for this. I really appreciate it.   Cool

Oh crap! I'm probably more disappointed than you are. I think you would have loved this.
I don't get it. The video is still there and there is no notation that the video "is blocked in some countries." Several of the other vids of mine are so marked. YouTube is getting to be a real pain in the butt.

I'd love to see it too. Any chance of you uploading it to RapidShare, or someone else grabbing the high def version of it from YouTube and offering it to The Boy Scouts. Just hoping!

I haven't attempted RapidShare yet. But if anyone can do just that, please do it! This video has to be seen.

Cancel all requests ... I managed to get both parts in the highest quality on offer. YouTube just need a bit of lubrication and I was tad impatient.

Thanks YA, Rad was one of my very favourites back then but most times I saw him he was bald. I prefer him with hair (on his head).   Smiley

Never heard of Night Gallery. Must have been an American series - as usual. Never mind all this high tech jargon about uploading, downloading, Rapidshare, video disappearing, etc. YoungArthur should simply post a load of pics from the film and leave it at that.
From the posts here I have the writer, director, how cute the boy looks (I agree) and the series BUT what is the name of the boy actor?  This is a BOY ACTOR site for gawd's sake and no one has provided his name!! Also what is the story about apart from snow? Really, this just isn't good enough. Wink
Talking of old TV series, there was one called the Ray Bradbury Theater and there was an episode called 'By The Numbers' about a boy who helps his tyrannical father at the outdoor pool of a hotel. The boy is attractively dressed in Speedos and marches around like a soldier while his dad barks commands at him. Anyone remember this episode and, better still, have any pics of it? Seeing the poor boy standing to attention and getting ordered about was slightly erotic I thought. I cannot remember the name of the boy who played the part for the life of me. Anyone know?

Cinefan... his name is Radames Pera.

I assume your browser is not seeing the link to the database in which his name is very clearly displayed in the original post.

Night Gallery was a US series based on a similiar concept to The Twilight Zone but was rather less successful. It ran in Australia but like most people I gave up watching it as the series unfolded. It wasn't up to par. I certainly didn't see this particular episode.

Oh and surely you'd rather watch than just view a set of caps?

I guess you don't like to read either. The boy's name is prominent in the original post. But maybe it is too large to be seen.
*sigh* The video is all about a BOY, probably a very disturbed boy, and not overtly erotic.
A shame it didn't suit your taste.

Don't worry about it dude. Seriously, you started an interesting thread that got alot of discussion going and this is something that I noticed hasn't been happening around here lately. For what it's worth, I liked it and I would love to see more of your work in the future. Thanks for your efforts YoungArthur.   Smiley

Very nice of you, starchild, and thanks. And thank you, Cinefan, for your pm.  Smiley

I have long been dissatisfied with still caps, tho I do post a few now and then. To me, it seems much more rewarding to see a boy in motion and to hear his voice.
