This is an Italian movie after the book by Paolo Giordano. The picture below is of Tommaso Neri who plays young Mattia, 7 or 8 years old in 1984. This person in his adolescence is played by Vittorio Lomartine, supposedly 14 years old, but this is an obvious mistake when casting. Otherwise, these scenes ought not be placed in 1991. The year 1994 or 1995 would have fitted much better. I wasn't impressed by the movie. A second viewing might elevate my rating a notch, but certainly not higher than 7.
