Budhia is adopted by a judo coach. One may have doubts about his intentions. The movie (or rather the documentary) ends in a rather sad way, but at least it yielded a few nice pictures of our little hero.

Thanks for the additional pictures.
I just profiled this film in 2011 festival releases
but it appears to be airing on tv now in Europe?

Its still playing festivals in the USA. It'll be coming to near where I live within a month. How high do you rate it?

The movie was aired by the BBC not long ago. The child was clearly exploited by the judo coach. Making kids run long distances at such a tender age will destroy their chances of ever becoming top athletes. The film made me realise how easy it is to adopt (or should I say buy) a child in India. The journalist/narrator was about the only person in the film who had good sense. I learned from this movie, as is so often the case: money is the root of all evil. Nearly everyone concerned was either bad or corrupt. Their characters were very well depicted. My rating is 7 out of 10.
