I don't remember the boy's name that played Soup, but the played "Me" was Shane Sinutko. I don't remember Shane's character's name either. the show was an A.B.C. After School Special that I saw back in the late 1970's. the boys were always in trouble for one thing or another! the episode runs about 23 minutes, it might be possible to find it on youtube, I'm gonna look as soon as I finish this topic, if I find try to setup a link in a reply!

In this 30 min.(including commercials) episode the boys decide to get some relief from the hot day, so they strip off their clothes and jump the swimming hole, along comes the school bully (fat girl) and throws their clothes into the deep end of the pond, so the boys have to make a mad dash for home, completely naked! HOLD IT! before everyone has a stroke! Shocked I have to tell you, all they show is the boys running away from the camera in full Double moon of course! Grin...I loved this episode from the 1st time I saw it! and I've Loved that little cutie Shane Sinutko too! Kiss he also did a guest appearance on "Little House on the Prairie" the Ep. was titled "At Rainbow's End" I think!

The characters names were Rob (the person who was telling the story, it was semi-autobiographical and the author was Robert Newton Peck) and Soup whose real name was Luther Wesley Vinson.

Hope someone comes up with a copy.  Definitely want to see these two shows.

Shane Sinutko is one of my favorite actors from the seventies.

Really loved his performance in Quincy M. E. (Season 2, Episode 8)
"A Good Smack in the Mouth" where he plays a battered child.  Lots of screen time.

This is a really great short film.
Shane Sinutko and Christian Berrigan were excellent!
Absolutely hillarious!

Wish they had made more episodes with Shane Sinutko!    Smiley

Shane Sinutko's real first name is Shannon, and he was later billed by that name!

The boys had a nude scene. Here you can read about the law regarding child actors having nude scenes.

Also, in the final version, they show them nude from the back. Of course when they are filming it, they film them nude from the front, but that is edited out.
