The film 'Wer wenn nicht wir' (2011) is about the German author Bernward Vesper (1938-1971). Here are five snapshots from the tiny part that Jonas Hämmerle played as 10 year old Bernward.

His voice was changing already in Wickie 2 (2009) so how can he play a 10-year-old in 2011?  Unless this one was on the shelf for a few years.

He had no text in this film, so that answers part of your question.
The rest is explained by the fact that the relation with his father had to be illustrated. In reality, he would have been 10, but his age really does not matter.
The scene describes how his strict father makes him an accomplice in the killing of his cat.
I have not read his autobiographic novel 'Die Reise', but I suspect this film was based on that (unfinished) book, which was only published in 1976, five years after Bernward Vesper's suicide in a psychiatric institute.
Bernward did not have a happy life. He and Gudrun Ensslin had a son, Felix. Gudrun left him for Andreas Baader (a notorious anarchist). Those two were apprehended in 1972 for the great number of terrorist attacks they were guilty of. They were sentenced to life imprisonment and took their own lives in 1977.
