You wouldn't know it from the trailer, but Pierce Gagnon turns out to have a major role in the second half of Looper, the fantastic sci-fi movie currently playing in theatres (at least in North America... not sure about rest of the world). And his performance is really impressive.

Don't think too hard about the time travel mechanics of the film, but otherwise I thought this was a very enjoyable and entertaining movie.

Yeah, he's very young, but the director pulled a really impressive performance out of him.

I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone, but they kept his character out of the promotional material because there's a whole story arc that's barely hinted at in the trailer. I actually really like that they did that, because it meant there were a lot of surprises in the movie. Not necessarily plot twists, but just developments that you discover while you watch the movie, as it should be. I'm so sick of trailers that pretty much tell you EVERYTHING that happens in the movie.
