I have the video, and I watch it again every year or two.

Now that I know the movie, I get emotional just watching the opening scene where the kid runs across the bridge with the little angel wings on his backpack.

An interesting factoid for the movie.  Kenta also auditioned for the part of Masao, and they liked him so much they kept him for the small part of the friend when he didn'd get the part.  They said he was maybe the better actor...but the part requires Masao to look so sad for a long time, but Kenta was just too cute: he could never look so sad.
