Anyone having a problem with the Image Upload App?

I'm getting an error:
Missing Application-Name manifest attribute

and the application will not run.  Can't upload images

It's loading up fine for me - what version of Java have you got installed, and which browser are you using it in?

Thanks for checking Quantum

It was a local setting.  Works now.

Java 7 update 51
  Java Plug-in 10.51.2.13
Using JRE version 1.7.0_51-b13 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM

Mac OS 10.9.1
Safari 7.0.1

From here, "Image Upload" yields an error ...

I used the zip method to upload that, which works fine.

In the recent update of JAVA, the Security Certificate requirements have
changed and JAVA is expecting a Name Certificate to authenticate.

I went to the JAVA console and added this web site as an exception,
and the Image Uploader works fine.  So now I can relax.

If the "Image Upload" doesn't work for you, check out the "Zip File" upload, which can be used instead.

I had the same problem when I setup Google Chrome on this tower, I went to  java.com and took the latest download and it fixed the problem for me.

There's some information here: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) about what you could do about the Java security errors. The "solution" given (the application being updated) is unlikely to happen...
The only option then is the workaround. Obviously that involves you adding a security exception for this site - you'll have to come to your own decision on whether you want to do that.

I always use the Zip File to upload a picture as Windows 8 will not download Java Script for some reason.
Is that a sleepyhead Barney Clark I see in 'bowser's' post?   Smiley

Yes it is.

A lot of people had the same problems with Windows Vista, when it was introduced, nothing was compatible with it til Microsoft sent out updates for it that made it compatible! A friend of mine still has Vista on her PC, and it works just fine! she's an Attorney and uses it in the daily execution of her Attorney duties. So maybe it's just a matter waiting for Microsoft to send the updates to correct the problem?! Smiley
