There is a new series on ABC called Resurrection.

Landon Gimenez stars as Jacob Langston in this series. He is a new actor with hardly any serious previous acting experience.

The series is based on a novel and as far as I have read and searched there is also another French movie called "Les Revenants" (The Returned) available on Netflix.

Here is some stills from the series pilot:

It's actually a tv series, I'm watching it now, so far each episode has been about differant kid on the School Bus. looks like both shows are going to be worth watching! Grin

My bad. It isn't a movie. It is indeed a TV series.

Actually, there was a movie which was developed into a TV series. I'm not sure how much of the storyline was developed in the original movie.

Here in the States it used to be common practice back in the 1970s and 80s  for Hollywood to take a movie, especially a TVM and spin-off a tv series, it usually depended on the ratings and reviews of Critics.  Here lately, hollywood has been doing some History in reverse! taking old tv series and making movies from them, "Dukes of Hazard" and "Starsky and Hutch" just to name a few. but I view that the same as I do sequels, some times it's better to leave well enough alone! This series seems to be following a similar format to the French television series: The Returned (2012) AKA: Les revenants

I haven't had the chance and the time to sit down and watch the French version yet. I just hope I like it. Wink
