1 Kenneth loach
2 Lorens Blok
3 Franco Zeffrenelli
4 Jack Clayton
5 Ellen Perry
6 Rob Reiner
A director have such a big influence on the actors.Without a good director you cant have agood movie

For me it's:
1st and foremost, Steven Spielberg for E.T., Rob Riener for Stand By Me, and J.J. Abrams for Super 8!

There are so many great directed boy films where do you start? Well, some of my favourite directors are:-

Peter Horton for 'The Cure', John Hillcoat for 'The Road', John McTiernan for 'Last Action Hero', Barry Shils for 'Motorama' and, of course, Peter H Hunt for the inestimable directing of wonderful Patrick Day, Eugene Oakes and John Reidelberger in 'Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn'.

Smiley My favorites directors are Maria PETERS, Steven SPIELBERG, Luigi COMENCINI, David TARDE, Sir Carol REED, Asia ARGENTO, Fred CAVAYE, Robert RODRIGUEZ, Fabienne GODET, Tim McCANLIES, Lexi ALEXANDER, Tony GATLIFF, Antonio CUADRI, Ivan NOËL and Rolf LOSANSKI.

This is a wonderful thread.  I have really enjoyed looking over these directors remembering
some of the great films and finding some new films to add to my que.


Here are some of my favorite directors: (in no particular order)

Steven Speilberg

Alfred Hickcock

Stanley Kubrick

Martin Scorsese

Woody Allen

Sir Carol Reed

George P. Breakston

Andrei Tarkovsky


I like their work and the way they tell a story
