Smiley I have seen again yesterday this TV série. Naël MARANDIN  have a very good and moving play in part of Olivier and I have liked very much this one of Sylvain THOIREY in part of David. My movie rating is 9/10 !

This is only shown on tv on a rare occasion, so maybe it would be worth seeking out on dvd if it's available.

The books were great, and even beyond the trilogy, there are a couple other books Sabatier wrote about his childhood..... one of them actually precedes the trilogy, even though it was written later.

Lucky you, Nérodiaman.

Looks like Amazon.fr sells it for just under 25 euros.  Not bad for the three-dvd set.  Especially if there are some good bonus features available.  Unfortunately there probably aren't any deleted scenes (a personal favorite).
