All Summer in a Day (1982)

Keith Coogan (credited as Keith Mitchell) plays 'William' in this
made for television short film which was based on a short story by Ray Bradbury.

Plot Summary: A group of kids on another planet wait for it to stop raining and the sun to come out.
The sun came out for one hour nine years ago.
William (Keith Coogan) doesn't believe it will happen.

If memory serves, this is an ABC After School Special! my favorite scene is where William is standing in front of the sun lamps! Grin And also if memory serves correctly, the planet they were suppose to be on was I think Venus.

I can kind of relate to these kids, I live in the Pacific N.W. were in the winter it rain day in day out almost like in this short! Wink

Seems like they don't make as many of these types of films.

Some of the beauty of the film comes from Composer David Michael Frank's wonderful musical score.
