I just rewatched the Bergman masterpiece for the umpteenth time and it continues to move me like no other film. Bertil Guve's performance remains among the best I have ever seen from a boy actor. If anyone ever asks you what to get you for a gift, tell them to get you the Criterion Collection's box set which includes the theatrical version, the television version (longer) and a documentary about the making of the film. Cool

I loved this film from legendary writer/director Ingmar Bergman!

A very beautiful film!

Yes, I have this film in my collection. Quite long but a classic. Thanks, 'boyactorzrule', for the screen caps but Bertil Guve best boy actor ever? Now that would be very open to debate.   Wink
