Vancouver native Dylan Kingwell, age 10, is starring in his first series regular role as Victor in A&E’s adaptation of The Returned, it was reported by his Publicist today, March 7th. Dylan is represented by Lloyd Talent.

That puts his birth date at 2005. At least we know the year now.

Some bio:

Dylan is the middle child in his family with two sisters, ages 8 and 18. Even at a young age, he has enjoyed the West Coast lifestyle. Dylan loves the outdoors, participating in sports, especially hockey. He is a rep level hockey player for Cloverdale Minor Hockey and the AAA BC Lightning Spring Hockey Club. Dylan also enjoys reading and is involved in the reading link and challenge program at school as a grade 5 student.

Dylan's personal quote is, 'That next great chance is always right around the corner.'

I enjoyed the French version of Les revenants (2012) AKA: The Returned with Swann Nambotin (who so far has only appeared in this one television show).
Let's hope he does more acting and doesn't become a "one hit wonder".    Wink

But I remember that it didn't have a coherent plot and after eight episodes, the plot just fell apart.

Took a peek at the beginning of The Returned (2015) with Dylan Kingwell
(don't have time to watch the entire episode today).  Seems to start out very similar
to the original.  Let's hope they did some plot re-writes to make it better.

I also have watched the original French version and I also do hope they tweak the plot a little, so far it was the exact replica. Even some lines from the script was the same.

I agree with you about Dylan's pic. It is a GREAT pic.

One thing I don't understand is why making yet another replica since they did Resurrection based on Les Revenants. I'm so confused.

I hope you know you can catch episode 2 on A&E on demand before it airs next week.

Thanks!  I will give it a look.

The theme of Les revenants (2012) was interesting.  But the central question
of the plot needs to be defined in the A&E remake.

Let's hope the reason for 'the return' is
1) Alien infusion 2) Biblical intervention or 3) Some form of demonic manipulation.

Failure to answer this central question will doom the remake to the fate of the original.

I agree with you. They need to have a purpose.
I'm a SyFy/Supernatural kinda guy. Make note SyFy and Supernatural are two separate genre for me.
So I would like to see some of either one as the plot progresses.

I remember seeing Swann Nambotin on the cover of a DVD. I have to say Dylan Kingwell looks very handsome which makes his picture really great but then these casting directors seem to have an eye for attractive looking boy actors.   Wink
