Down with Misery (1945) AKA: Abbasso la miseria!

Stars Vito Annichiarico as 'Nello'.  From veteran director Gennaro Righelli
who started his career in films in 1910.  In Italian - very dialog heavy.
Enjoyable film set at the end of WW2.  Nello is not the main character
but he does have some quality screen time and is very likeable.

Plot Summary:
Nello (played by Vito Annichiarico) has been orphaned by the war
and he goes from Naples to Rome to find a relative, but meets up
with a man.  The man thinks he may be Nello's father because he once
dated a woman in Naples with the same name that Nello says was
his mother's.  Nello looks like him and he even has a mole on his
chest in exactly the same place.

I agree Vito looks a typical 1940s boy actor and quite cute. I always like to see forgotten boy films from those years. Thanks, 'bowser', for the pics of him.   Smiley
