Added a couple of movies featuring Kacey Mottet Klein.

The last is an animation, so Kacey's role is voice only. (DVDs/blu-rays of this film are available, but without English subtitles on the disc - so I've added an English subtitle file which I found online to the movie page). I love the idea of the movie, and am tempted to get it!
[***UPDATE*** The Region 1 DVD, and possibly others as well, does, apparently, have English subtitles.]

I have no idea who the actor is (but I've ordered a copy of the film, so I should be able to find out soon!).

Added "Joby" (1975) to the database.

However, I've discovered that there is a lot of inaccurate information online about the two-part TV drama. Here is a contemporary press cutting from 19 January 1975:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

The article is dated Sunday 19 January. Now, the only year of the 1970s when 19 January was a Sunday was 1975, so this confirms the year of article, and the year when the film was transmitted. Some sources list the film as transmitted on 12 January 1975. I reckon that probably part 1 was transmitted on 12 January, and part 2 the following week on the 19 January. Anyway, it repeatedly says online that the film was shot in 1975. But clearly this cannot be true if it was transmitted so early in 1975. It is more likely, then, that it was shot in 1974.

A second inaccuracy regards Richard Tolan's birth year. IMDb states that he was born iin 1963, though I cannot find any independent confirmation online (all other apparent confirmations are derived from IMDb). Now, the above clipping, which was written in January 1975, states that Tolan was 13. This means that he could only have been born in 1961 or at the very beginning of 1962. So IMDb cannot be right about this. For this reason, I have not specified Tolan's birthyear on his profile page. It all goes to show that IMDb is utterly untrustworthy!

Here are some screencaps of Tolan from "Joby":

With Patrick Stewart:

Does Patrick's Stewart's appearance ever change? He was probably born like that.

Richard's birth was registered in the first quarter of 1962, so he certainly was not born in 1963!

That doesn't stop him from being born at the end of 1961 - parents are supposed to register the birth within 42 days, so he could have been born during December (or even right at the end of November) 1961 and still be registered at the beginning of 1962 (and that's assuming his parents didn't register late...)

Sorry to disappoint but the boyish looking figure is actually a young actress playing one of Gainsbourg's daughters, and not his son Paul, who does not feature in the movie.

I have a copy of the TV play of "Joby" which confirms that, as I suspected, it was "first transmitted in two episodes on 12 and 19 January, 1975." (from Prelims, "Joby: A Television Play", Stan Barstow, Blackie & Son, 1977) The TV play was written by Stan Barstow, dramatized from his own novel. I have updated the profile page accordingly.

Below: Photographs from the published TV play:

Thanks, 'diogenes', for the interesting clips of Richard Tolan. I like boys dressed in old fashioned gear.

I decided that Alain Bécourt ("Mon oncle", 1958) deserved a better Profile picture, so I replaced his old picture (which I had taken from elsewhere on the internet) with my own screencap from exactly the same moment in the film. As you can see, a distinct improvement:

The short film "Y Adan y" is available to view online for free at the film archive of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile:

I've added the link to the film's Profile page:

See if you can figure out what the film's trying to say!
