Looks interesting...what extraordinary eyes!

This is his acting debut, so I'll add him - and the movie - to the database when the movie is released (except I'll probably forget, so you'll probably need to remind me).

The more boy films the merrier. Ferdia must be an Irish name, I've never heard it before. I sometimes like boys who play the baddies and he looks sinister.

Thanks, 'hosenhaus'.

I read an article about the big movies of 2019.

They predict that Artemis Fowl will be the only Disney theatrical movie of the year that will gross less than 1 billion dollars at the box office.

Having watched the trailer, what a colossal disappointment. It bears no resemblance whatsoever to the books, other than in name. What's the point it taking a successful book series and then changing it to the extent it is barely recognizable?

I've seen predictions that it will bomb at the box office, and from watching the trailer, I'm not surprised - unfortunately for Ferdia. This will be hated by fans of the books, and I doubt there's enough new and original stuff in the resulting film to gain any new fans.

What a lost opportunity.

I find that trailers are not reliable when it comes to contents of movies.  Sometimes in the past I hae been disappointed that the trailer for a movie differs from the book, only to find later that the movie itself was much closer to the book.  We can only wait to see what happens in this case.

Has anyone seen Artemis Fowl yet? There has been a lot of promotion, but I'm skeptical of anything coming from Disney.
