"Pixote" (1981) is to be released 29 September on a Criterion blu-ray and DVD as part of the Martin Scorsese box set of world cinema volume 3. The set is quite pricey at $99. Here's a link to the Criterion page:

Well, here's my list of films that are crying out for a HD/4K restoration and release. Since Scorsese has several volumes, I've allowed myself several volumes as well, each devoted to a different part of the world. It's a rather 'Euro-centric' list, but nevermind; it reflects my interests.

I too often muddle Spanish and Mexican.     It's all Hispanic to me.
