Child Of The Day

Open your eyes...
In darkness I was born
In darkness I opened my eyes
I'm floating in the unknown
My hands grasped through ending currents
I'm aware of myself,
But I do not know where I am
Where do I find refuge in this desolate place?
I've heard it said before, Fear lives here
As an Uninvited Guest that lingers in the shadows
It's Poison taste, the traveling soul and
Lays waste to the pathways of Dreams
I will not yield
Open your Ears...
My thoughts are like a raging Tempest
But they cannot restrain the silence
It breaks me with longing and I Rise to my feet
I will not stay here
How long must I walk on darkened Paths?
Not knowing where I step
I am a phantom in this Wilderness
But my soul cries for the dawn
Soon I will meet the Light, it gleams and shimmers
It’s waves roll over the shadows and its warmth awakens Hope
Darkness is dispelled and the baron Troubles of yesterday
Give way to the Embers of creativity
Open your Heart... I belong here
I'am a Child of the Day
From Darkness to Light
My Soul is finally Home.
