Resident Alien

An alien (sent to destroy the world) disguises himself as a small-town doctor.
Only one person in town can see him as he really is: a kid named Max.

Max is played by Judah Prehn

Max's friend Sahar (Gracelyn Awad Rinke) is convinced about the alien.

Set in Colorado.  Filmed in British Columbia.   
Those Canadian film crews (unlike Hollywood) know how to do winter scenes with snow on the ground.
