Anyone like Libera?

What is it about their music that relates to Boylove and the way we interact with boys?

Is it the fact that boys are the ones singing? Or is it the songs that the boys are singing?

I'd love to hear your comments and jeers too  Smiley

love,
borgy!

Libera are cool.  Its great music sung by boys.  What more could antone want.  In answer to your question its both the music and the boy voices.

I love them, too, but I love almost all boychoir and boy solo music!  By the way, here's a link you might enjoy (and I'm sorry if someone has already posted it before; I need to catch up in this forum!):

Oh, here's another one that I've visited often:

I've got some MP3 and some vids of this choral boy group..  I really like that sort of music from boys, unfortunately a lot of it is often very religious and preachy.  This thread deserves more of my time ..i'll get back to it later..  Smiley

I guess one good thing is that half the time I can't actually understand what the words are..  LOL...  so I can turn up the music and indulge my self in the sublime sound .. without feeling I'm being preached to.   I have Liberia playing right now..  led by Liam O'Kane..  performing Sanctus.   The music gives me goosebumps.

**turns up the volume**

Cal, I travel a lot with my job, often by car.  I listen to my boychoir music on long trips, and I always look forward to them (the trips) simply because I keep my favorites in the car and only listen to them then.  Oh, not all of them; I have Anthony Way on my computer as I speak!  ** turns up the volume louder than Cal's **

Hello everyone,

Libera ?  I love them.  I also enjoy there first three CD's under the name of "Angel Voices". They have a new CD out now title "Luminosa" under there current title Libera. I really like several of the tracks but I don't think this CD is as good as "Libera" was. One bonus is that they have a new young soloist with the choir now named "Ben Crawley".  His voice is very good and I expect we will be hearing much more from this little guy before he's thru. Also there are a few tracks featuring Steven Geraghty who is the brother of another well known member of the choir Daren Geraghty. I think those that like this choir will enjoy this new CD but don't expect the same magic that Libera had. All in all it is a very nice CD.

Thanks for that update, Dreamer!

I guess I'll have to dig deep and place another one of those online orders today.  *sigh*   It's worth it!

Love,
Sir Jacob

you know I wouldn't even know about these wonderful voices if it wern't for the internet...

I can't afford to buy may of these CDs but have been fotunate enough to find most of the songs in their entirety posted on the internet...

I'm aware that music companies want to stop this practice of sharing music but for many of us around the world it is the only way we have access to them.  Most artists make enormous sums of money as it is so there is no way I feel guilty by downloading files without paying for them...  I believe music is a gift and those that are talented enough are usually happy to share...  it's the greedy companies that suck!

I believe I have every mp3 and video this choir has produced. From the time they were St Philips and moved onto Angel Voices and than to Libera. I even have tracks that were never released on CD. If you ever want or need anything from this choir or many other choirs it would be my pleasure to help. As of right now I have 24 videos from them and 117 mp3's not to mention some really nice pics.

Dreamer,
I'd dearly love to get some good quality mpegs of them.  Most of the stuff I've downloaded of Angel Voices seems to be fairly poor quality video, that is the images are discoloured or blury and the default frame size is rather small.  I prefer to play vids at full screen.

I'll make a list up of what I have and I'm more than happy to share them via icq.

If anyone wants my icq please feel welcome to send me a message on the messenger which is at the top of the forum.

I'd certainly love to do more file sharing with anyone who feels likewise.

Sorry Cal, I don't have ICQ but I do have MSN and a very fast connection. If your connection speed is fairly fast I would love to share what I have. I to enjoy the best quality and the files I have are very large for this reason. Just one 4 minute movie is 70,500 bytes and all my mp3's are of the best quality as well. Let me know what you need and I would be glad to fill in the rest.

Dreamer, if you can't get your MSN to hook up with Cal's, you can certainly send them to me by MSN, and I can send them on to Cal by ICQ!  I love this group, too, and would love to have anything by them that you have.  I only have one Libera and one Angel Voices cd at this time.

Love,
Sir Jacob

I love them too. Smiley
Sanctus is my favorite song. tbt i usually just listen to music online and dont buy CD's, but I bought their CD because I wanted to support them. I like watching their funny videos on YouTube. There was this funny video of them going to an arcade, but I can't find it anymore.

Edit: apologies, I just realised this thread is...16 years old...
