' De schippers van de Kameleon' is a movie that is based on a (large) series of children's books, written by H. de Roos, that were (and still are) very popular in the Netherlands. In my childhood I read many of them and really enjoyed the adventures of twin brothers Hielke and Sietse Klinkhamer (played by the 14 year old Koen and Jos van der Donk ), their friend Kees Dijkstra (played by Tom Kuipers) and their boat (de Kameleon). The expected cinema release of the movie in the Netherlands is June 2003. 	Can't wait until it's in the cinema. Also read the books. Hope the movie will be as good as the books.

	I've just realized how difficult it is to translate Dutch into English... hehe I noticed this profile has finally been added too belated thanks for the alert soles, I'll be interested to know what the movie is like.

	Some good and surprising news, since the movie was only released in June of this year: The DVD with extras like The Making of.. and a videoclip of the title song will already be released on November 4. And yes, according to the online info, the movie will have English subtitles. The DVD can be ordered through (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links) which ships outside the Netherlands as well. Unfortunately the website has no English version but is easy to understand. Just click on 'Bestel snel' and follow the instructions. 	It's good news... Hopefully we are witnessing the beginning of a trend. With the increasing ease of purchasing DVDs over the internet, more and more movies from Europe are being released on DVD with english subs.
