Question about "Taken"

In the sci-fi tv series "Taken" you have a devil of a job finding out the actors' names, unless you know them already like Anton Yelchin.  Does anyone know the name of the redhead who's kidnapped by aliens near the start of the series ?  Wish he appeared in it every week !   Strawberry blonds do something to me....

What was the character's name?  You can find that out by watching the show.

Thanks, hosenhaus.  In the UK, so far as I'm aware, all we get is the opening credit titles which list the actors' real names but not who they're playing.  We don't get that text that you show on your terrific picture.

Hey, wonder if he's any relation to James T. Kirk ?

That pic (with the text) was from a magazine write-up about the series.  What I mean is: if you know the character name, go to (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) to find the actor name...

the spooky thing is , he has somting in common with William Shattner...

they were both born in Canada.

i like this character a lot, even tho he looks as if hes goin 2 burst out crying a lot of the time. i mean he always looks totalyy worried.

well i spose if i kept being snached by aliens and ~probed~ i would look like that 2 :>

official site, its all Flash and the glowing lights hide all the links, but its kind of cool with good information on the actors.

the reason there only in the series for a few programs 2 tops I think, is coz its a story that jumps forwards in time by about 5 to 10 years each show.

I know this is boy actors but the girl is Dakota Fanning who also is in the Cat in the Hat movie.

I have this series on DVD and have thoroughly enjoyed it because it is good science fiction.  I was impressed with the extras that explained that they even went to the trouble of filming the older sections as if they were film at the time.   The story goes from WW II to the present so it does cover several generations.

to the stars and beyond.

i've never seen `taken` but is it about outer space?

cuz there's a new astronomical kid on the block who, i'm sure, would be delighted to assist with our inquiries.
-------
eight and at university

An eight-year-old Scottish boy has been accepted for an Open University course in astronomy.

Jack McEwen lives in a remote farmhouse in Moray, and has been taught at home by his mother.

He will spend his first year completing an introductory course, worth 10 points towards his maximum degree total of 360.

Once he has completed that, he will spend the next five years at home studying the same coursework as his adult contemporaries, reportsThe Herald.

Jack's mother Melissa said her son was hungry in his quest for knowledge.

She said: "He's always badgering me for more lessons, even on Sundays when I sometimes want to take a day off.

"But I have always thought, if he enjoys it, why not encourage him and show him what is out there to learn?"

Jack has been treated the same as any other student applying to the OU, and has had to submit some of his work before being accepted.

An OU spokesman says Jack should start his science short course soon.

The spokesman said: "Our normal age range is 18-plus, but if a child shows exceptional promise and is able to cope with the rigour of the course, he will be accepted.

"Jack is certainly among the youngest we have had, but in such cases we make doubly certain that studying with the OU will benefit the child."

Jack himself dosen't believe he's anything special. "I just love lessons. And when mum says that is enough for the day, I moan that there's time for just a bit more," he said.

That is James Kirk, who didn't have way enough time on the screen, but really did shine in the time he had.

I had exchanged a few emails with him, very nice, friendly person.  Senior in high school now.  ! was going to put a link to his site, but it appears to be gone. There are a few "official" sites available, but they are all outdated, and filled with many factual mistakes.
