That's a mystery.  I'm thinking it's two different actors.  Patrick Carroll is identified as Young Hephaistion in the movie credits.  However, the Warner Brothers site states the boy sitting beside Connor in the Aristotle scene is Christopher Cantwell.
Going with the movie credits, I indicated that kid was Patrick in TCPF.  Then, I was contacted by one of the other actors in that scene who alleged it's Christopher.  He said a mistake was made but he didn't have the "authority" to explain the descrepancy.

When I saw the movie, I wondered about the differences in the appearances of YH in the two scenes.  After looking at these clips, I've decided it's two different boys.  Incidentally, "Aristotle" was filmed in Morocco while the wrestling was shot on a London sound stage.  Maybe, one of the actors wasn't available to do both or they decided to make a change between the two filmings.  Possibly, Christopher wasn't up to the wrestling.  My source said they were put through two weeks of wrestling classes plus extra physical training to pump themselves up.

So would I!  I have no information on that subject.
Connor has indicated through an intermediary that he doesn't want to talk to me, so I can't ask him.  The topic of money might be too delicate an area to bring up anyway.

All of the things I mentioned come from either online or from my unnamed source - one of Young Alexander's friends in the movie - and he's afraid to get too specific.  Apparently, he's been told not to talk about the filming.
