Here's the summer movie I can't wait to see:

"The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D"

Cayden Boyd has a profile here, but it doesn't include this movie.  He just turned 11 this week.  He plays the imaginative boy who can't convince his classmates that Shark Boy and Lava Girl are real.

Taylor Lautner (Shark Boy) is 13 and best known for some TV guest roles including one on Summerland.  He has a great website at (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) including pictures, recent news, and a clip where he introduces a Britney Spears song on an LA radio station.

There's also a trailer for Shark Boy on the Apple Movie Trailer site:

I'm sure a movie website is coming soon but I can't find it online yet.  This movie comes from the director of Spy Kids so it could be a big summer hit.  It opens in the US on June 10.  Who knows, maybe Cayden Boyd will be bigger than Daryl Sabara?  Smiley

Looks like FUN

Cayden is MUCH more appealing than Daryl Sabara IMO...  so I certainly hope this movie does well for him.

Summer might just get here by the time you finish rattling off that title.   Cheesy

The graphics look great and the backstory in the film sounds like a real draw. This is the kind of fantasy tale we have been needing for quite some time.

Great pic samples too, Mark.

Thanks for bringing this one up, Mark.  Smiley

Like you I could not find an official site for the film. Another example of the deterioration of Miramax.  Sad

But here are some promo stills for the film.

As if that wasn't enough...

ABC Family will be airing a half hour special, according to Zap2It, previewing the movie Memorial Day Monday (5/30) at 9AM.  The title is:

When Dreams Come to Life: The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl in 3-D

It will be out on DVD by the time you get all that out.  Smiley Smiley Smiley
