i always thought it was a photo on the cover of ian drury's `new boots and panties` album.

the boy is ian's son baxter who is now a musician himself.

on the blockheads' web site it is offering a `print` for £695!!

perhaps they mean a digitally enriched print of the photo or a painting of it?

baxter says in an interview with john lewis - in `time out`, magazine august 24-31 :

...dad "was an enormously reassuring presence in my childhood.

whatever trouble you were in you'd be scooped up and led to safety.
