This is on TV here too, unfortunately it's on a commercial channel that's not connected to my Digital Recorder or I would have checked it out more often.

If anyone has seen the Luke Perry, "Jeremiah" TV series, the concept is almost identical. A deadly virus wipes out all humans above the age of puberty.

Unfortunately the Jeremiah series moved forward a number of years to when the survivors had grown up.

The New Tomorrow concentrates on the kids that are the survivors... and an interesting looking lot they are too, dressing fashionably in Native American inspired outfits and keeping themselves very clean and well organised. A vastly different post-disaster alternative to the pessimistic Lord of the Flies, Mad Max or Jeremiah scenarios.
