Michael Sweerts: "Boy With a Hat" (circa 1653).

I have seen this painting in person, and it is breathtaking. The eyes shine with an unearthly light, as if he is alive. A masterpiece!

Ofcourse the pix are all great. but as for me, I like moving paitings? like this one

When as if you see what's happening on the picture, not like static figures.

But, I don't understand if the eagle is hugging the boy after he got hurt or hurting the boy himself ???

I believe the painting of the boy with the eagle is a depiction of the abduction of Ganymede by Zeus from Greek mythology.  Here's a famous sculpture of Ganymed and Zeus in a more relaxed situation:

How do sculptors do it?? I can see, with pencil or any drawing media,
that you can erase and correct. But I am baffled that this kind of artist
