Nope.  Interesting article though!  When a kid is young, there's no reason they can't cross boundaries easily.  Heck, even as adults we have people cross that boundary (John Travolta in Hairspray).

Haven't seen this one gee.

I can think of two other cases in recent times where girls played boys though. In Immediate Boarding (Tur & retur) Amanda Davin plays both a girl and a boy role reasonably convincingly. The Japanese movie Summer Vacation 1999 (1999 - Nen no natsu yasumi) which has been released on VHS but not DVD in the US) also cast girls as boys.

Are you shitting me. This is a girl playing a boy. They can't find a damn little boy in all of China or whatever with any acting talent to play the role of the boy in this film with all of the alleged talent China is supposed to have to offer. What did they waste is all on the Olympics where they also cheated using underage girls in Gymnastics. Gotta love those devious and deceptive Chinese don't we. Personally I've never liked being deceived in any way or sense including in this case. I just rented the movie tonight. Now I don't even want to bother watching the damn thing.  Angry

I know this movie 2 years ago, but I think there are no boys in it. Shocked
All boy characters in this movie are played by girls...

I don't know why Stephen Chow do this thing(I'm a fan of him), maybe he has his reason.

There are boys in the movie.  Only one boy is played by a female.

Sorry, hosenhaus maybe you're wrong.(the two "boys" in your capture maybe real "boys" but now I'm not sure. Roll Eyes)

I haven't seen the movie, but I read some news article before(of course in Chinese website).
There are 3 main "boy" charachers in this movie, 2 of them are bullies.

In the pics expect the adult Stephen Chow, all are GIRLS.

Anyway, I'll find time to see this movie someday. I could buy 2-disc DVD(special edition) in my country. And I'll make sure that if there are any real boys in "CJ7". Shocked

Here's another example of a girl playing a boy in a movie:
Kristen Stewart in "The Saftey of Objects". Actually, I don't remember if they ever came right out and said she was a boy in the movie but she clearly is androgynous and was named Sam which of course could be a boy or a girl's name so she could have been passing as a boy.

This is also interesting for me.
Because when I first saw the movie "Panic Room", I supposed that Jodie Foster and her "SON" in this movie...
After a while, I know the child is a girl...(Kristen Stewart is really "handsome" when she was a child actress. Tongue)

I agree. I think in The Saftey of Objects she looks very much like the late Christopher Pettiet when he was that age.

Here he is in "Point Break".
