Max? Max? I thought you were referring to the great Max Baldry of 'Mr Bean's Holiday' fame! I can't say I've even heard of these boy actors or, indeed, the film they're in. As a rule boy actors are usually stunning lookers but Andrew C Maier is the exception being downright UNattractive! Director - wheel that child off the set please!   Wink

P.S. I have a sneaking suspicion that you aren't supposed to have a siggy like mine on this Board. It even has a slider at the side to view the whole picture - most unusual.

I think the giant picture detracts from whatever you say in your message.   Unless it is something related to that message. Why not see if you can set up an avatar that will appear at the left?

I agree. Giant signature posts are annoying as hell. Just use the image as an avatar instead. (Cause it's a nice picture and I see no reason not to use it...)

As for this so-called unattractive kid... I don't know. He seems fine to me. There are lots of boy actors that don't appeal to me, but I wouldn't say he's one of them.

Probably the thing I found most interesting about this film (apart from it being quite fun), is that the end sequence was obviously shot a few years later - it's set a few years later - with the same actors playing the older versions of the characters. I wonder whether it was a deliberate choice to delay shooting the ending so that the actors would be older rather than casting other older actors, or whether it just ended up that way due to budgetary problems and the like.

That's cool. I saw another movie where that happened, but now I can't remember what it was. I saw it at a festival, and if I remember correctly the director was there and said that it wasn't planned that way, but due to various logistics and budgetary reasons, they were unable to finish the film the first time, and then a few years later they added those scenes at the end and it turned out for the best.

Watching it, I was not so sure about that.  I was thinking of dubbed voices, doubles for the longshots, make-up, maybe even some CGI, instead.   To make them seem older.  There are some credits for doubles and voices.

Redboy 13 (1997) starring Devon Roy-Brown.  He was about thirteen when they started making the film but by the completion of the film he was seventeen.  Cool to see him age during the film.

Cheesy

Max Rules (2005) was a great film!

Cheesy

Smiley I saw this movie this afternoon and I liked very much the play of Andrew.C MAIER and Spencer ESAU in parts of Max and Scott. My movie rating is 6/10.
