Since it's an Australian TV show I've never seen it and only just heard of it here on this forum a few months ago but tonight I found a site that has the first episode from season one. What a great show! No wonder all the Aussies love it and rave about it. It's so good! The boy who plays Lockie is so natural.

Since I've never seen the show before the first episode I don't know what you mean by that.
Huh

This is a great show K.
It's a shame it's not readily available in the US; our tv execs fear of accents I suppose.

The entire series is available on DVD, I'd recommend it!

I recommend it too!  I managed to get my hands on it, and watched every episode eagerly!

Although, as a side note, I was just in Australia and the several people I asked had never heard of it!  What rock are they living under... Uluru??

If you were in Queensland that would explain it, the higher north you go the lower the intelligence is in this country, that or like you said living under a rock, I don't know many people that haven't heard of Lockie even if they don't know the show exists there are the books.

LOL, so that's how it works Down Under, huh?

Actually, I was in Tasmania, but I asked a variety of people just in passing.  One was from just outside Sydney, but, in her defense, they're pretty remote and understandably don't watch much TV.  That being said, another was a school teacher (of art) in Melbourne, and she didn't know of it either... but that's an art teacher for you... completely out of touch!  There were others, but, as I said, only a couple had any clue the series existed, TV or otherwise.

Queensland is like Texas here.   Cheesy

Tasmania is Alaska, albeit smaller and a lot less icy.

Neither State is exactly hip.
