The B. O. Y. S. site is closing permanently on Saturday, January 24th. The reason given by the owner, Sensitive Stephen, is the high cost of the server. Read his message below:

It was the B.O.Y.S. site that first made me aware of the BoyActors site six years ago. So this is like losing a part of a larger community.

Oh No!  that really bites.

I'm absolutely flawed by that news. Has S.S. been affected by the economic downturn?  Have costs escalated. Surely their regulars can come up with enough money to keep the site afloat.   

O.k. from what I was seeing over on B.O.Y.S. alot of people have said that they are willing to help with the money issue but Sensitive Stephen has also said something about not wanting to be in charge over there anymore. I think he's tired or burned out and since he's been taking care of B.O.Y.S. for so long can you really blame him? He seems to be looking for someone not only to take over the financial part but the leadership role too. But not just anyone. He of corse wants someone who he knows and trusts and who will be able to carry on with the fabulous site that he brought to everyone for so many years. Now I'm not exactly the smartest person around so this is just my way of trying to sum up what I got out of what he said. Maybe someone else can add info here and if you guys are interested or know someone who might be able to help out you might want to contact Sensitive Stephen to get full details. I'm not great at explaining things but hopefully this gives more of an idea as to what's going on.

"flawed" is actually a word, it's not an expression.   

However the expression "I'm flawed", appropriate that it is when referring to myself, perhaps also equally appropriate in describing your own pedantic nature was merely the result of a very tired respondent. Twas a spelling 'bourde', which I'm sure an intellect as observant as yourself would be well and truly aware. Naturally, the correct spelling would be 'floored' rather than 'flawed'. An interesting Freudian slip don't you think?

K said that if it wasn't for the B.O.Y.S. site he wouldn't have known about this site and he wouldn't be here. The story is the same for me. It was actually MikeZ who brought my attention to this site with a post he made on B.O.Y.S. involving his covers that he had posted here. So just like with K, if it wasn't for B.O.Y.S. I might not have even known about this place. By the way, if anyone knows what MikeZ is up to please let him know that starchild is here waiting to share the good news that I joined this site thanks to him. Anyway, B.O.Y.S means so much to so many people and there are alot of people trying to help find a way to keep it going. I can't do too much but when I saw that K was kind and smart enough to post a message here about it I figured that my way of helping will be to help him in his effort here to let everyone here know what the site means to people and to just add to what he has already said which is, if anyone has any interest or ideas or ways that you can help keep B.O.Y.S. going please contact Sensitive Stephen. Even if you have an idea of someone who he might approve of to take over leadership of B.O.Y.S. Or maybe someone here might actually be interested. Remember, any idea is better than no idea if that makes any sense. Thanks in advance for any help given and thanks to K for the great idea of starting this thread here. I don't think I would have thought of it myself. I'm not really an idea person. But I am someone who knows a good idea when I see it.    

No problem K. I figured you would notice me and say something eventually. It's great to see a familiar name here. I hope another familiar name pops up soon. I'm talking about MikeZ. If the worst does happen and B.O.Y.S. does close down at least some of my friends from B.O.Y.S. will be here with me at my other hangout here on Boyactors and I know I'll make other cool friends here too. Even if B.O.Y.S. is saved and I hope it is I'm still looking forward to getting to know people here too.

Here's a new announcement from S.S. It looks like there will be at least a one month reprieve.

Personally, I have no interest in that website, so its closing down doesn't really affect me much, which is why I didn't post in this thread until now. But that's a bit harsh.
