A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
into the film queue right now.  We're
getting ready for our Christmas Extravaganza!
This one always gets played.

The original Linus was Christopher Shea

But

In the 1970's, his brother Stephen Shea took over  the role of Linus.

Bowser? I heard recently that there might be either a remake of Back to the Future, or another sequel, can you confirm this? Smiley

Right now, no remake or sequel.

Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis believe Back to the Future (1985) (and it's sequels) are perfect and any redo would tarnish the film.

Spielberg is also blocking remakes of Jaws (1975) and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

Universal Studios believes (and rightly so) that a remake would make millions.  Let's see if they can
come up with enough money to change their minds.

Did you know
the part of Marty McFly was being played by
Eric Stoltz.  After quite a bit of film was shot,
director Robert Zemeckis cut him from the film
and replaced him with Michael J. Fox.

Have you ever
been to Universal Studios Hollywood to see the
DeLorean?  There used to be several of them on the lot, but
I don't know where they went.  A few years back, you could actually
touch the cars and sit in them.  Not any more.

When you go
to Universal Studios Hollywood, make sure you
get them to show you all the behind-the-scenes
spots from the film.   Shocked

Here's a fan film of Back to the Future?
A fun film on YouTube, but a really bad
remake of BTTF

I'm glad Spielberg blocked the remakes of those films! it would a shame to tarnish the masterpiece known as E.T.!

As for BTTF, I love how those older movies depicted how they thought at the time what the future might look like! and to remake it now would ruin that magic! sometimes, Hollywood should just leave well enough alone! Smiley

The only way I would welcome a remake of E.T., is IF Spielberg did it himself! and the boy to play Elliott would have to be someone VERY special to fill those shoes! Wink

Ugh, remakes.   Tongue

I was surprised, when I purchased ET here not so long ago, that it is was an "enhanced" version.  Extra scenes and effects.  Frankly, they stood out more than sheep at a crocodile conference.   Huh

And it wasn't obviously written on the DVD that it was "enhanced".

I thought the extra scenes were interesting, but I like the original the best.

I liked the scene where, after Elliott returns to the bedroom with the food, he finds ET in the tub! doing a sorta Backstroke!

Yes, ok... that Luck dragon does look somewhat dated in NES.   Grin

Yes, that was a very interesting scene.

I'm sure you know that Harrison Ford was in the movie too,
but his scene was cut out.  It's on the disc in Deleted Scenes.

He was dating Melissa Mathison, who wrote the screenplay.

'The Neverending Story' cannot be bettered especially with Noah and Barret in it. I mean how can you get better than that?   Cool
