Child Eater (2016)
Stars Colin Critchley as 'Lucas'
A very slow, atmospheric movie, darkly lit. I really enjoyed
Colin Critchley in the film. He was great and has a lot of
screen time! Hope to see him in more films.
The story is a little drab and disconnected, but once the
boogeyman enters the picture, it definitely gets intense.
Very stressful cat-and-mouse chase scenes with Lucas
running for his life.
Not for everyone. Great for Halloween.
Shot on RED EPIC with Kowa anamorphic lenses. Notice
how the images appear a little soft. (The beauty of
Kowa!)
Based on a 2012 short film of the same name by
the same writer/director Erlingur Thoroddsen.
Plot Summary:Rumor has it that years ago there was a man who began to
go blind. He reasoned that if he would eat the eyes of
children, he could regain his sight. He was crazy.
Helen (played by Cait Bliss) is on a routine babysitting job. Lucas
(played by Colin Critchley) can't sleep and says there's a
boogeyman in his closet. Helen should have listened.
