When widowed father James asks his new-age girlfriend to move in with him, his daughters Kellie and Abby struggle to adjust. As things become increasingly tense, a series of unexplained occurrences leads Kellie to search for a way to use a totem to control the supernatural presence in the house.

Promoted to head of the house after the untimely death of her mother Lexy, 17-year-old Kellie has done a respectable job of keeping the close-knit trio together, which includes her father James and little sister Abby. James thinks it's time to bring a new face into the house and invites his longtime friend Robin to finally move in with him so the family can move on.

Kellie is not exactly pleased about the intruder in their midst. Neither is she happy about the supernatural ghost that suddenly haunts her house. Robin's arrival strangely coincides with an invisible entity that regularly visits Abby. The little girl claims it is her mother's guardian spirit. Kellie fears that the spirit is not as benevolent as Abby innocently suspects.
