Researching boy actors from the Depression Era, I discovered the service cards of Freddie Bartholomew and Frankie Thomas.  Many kid actors from the Depression Era served in WWII.

Both boys lived in very nice homes.  Bartholomew's house at 226 Tilden Street is valued at $4 million today and the 'golden child' Thomas lived in a splendid home with his actor parents in North Hollywood.
