I am also highlighting one of those films, which I hope all here who can will watch and comment upon later...

Let's see... Could it be O'Shaugnessy's Boy with young Jackie Cooper on June 25th?

I believe I might have a blank video tape for that one around here somewhere. Grin

Thanks, Zab.

Love,
Sir J

Yeah, I think that's the one Zab means. Grin

Thanks again, Zab. I will catch that one. Quite a few nuggets in there. I'm also curious to see 'Listen Darling' on June 10th.

Boy, you guys are good guessers! Grin

YA,
I've seen Listen Darling - it's primarily Judy Garland's movie but Scotty Beckett does steal some scenes. Freddie Bartholomew seemed out of place, I gave it **1/2.

Personally, I'm happy to finally get a chance to see the Decision of Christopher Blake. I don't believe it's been shown on televsion for at least the last 5 years.

Hey Zab, I taped 'Broadway To Hollywood' and watched it yesterday, and that was the first time I'd seen Mickey Rooney as such a young little tow-headed tyke! He was a darned good dancer in his short scenes, and was a lot cuter to me than he was in the movies as he got older, that I'd seen in the past. Grin

That was near the end of the movie, and Jackie Cooper was excellent in his part during the first part of the movie, too. Smiley

Love,
Sir J

I'm glad you enjoyed that one, Sir J Smiley

Broadway is probably best enjoyed on tape so you can fast forward to the good parts.

Darn it. I'm mad now. Undecided We've had so many power outages around here lately that my vcr never recorded this one:

6:00am A Thousand Clowns
A free-living New Yorker fights to maintain custody of his nephew.
Barry Gordon

Well, at least we have 'The Decision of Christopher Blake' coming up soon. :bigok:

I'm such a dummy. Undecided

Brainlock. Time zones not computing correctly. Now I've missed another one:

11:00am The Decision of Christopher Blake
Drama about a child suffering because of his parents divorce.
Ted Donaldson

Anyone want a copy of an old movie called 'Whiplash' from 1948? Roll Eyes

Only if its a western with a boy who takes a tub bath. Grin (It was almost a must for a boy in a western to take a tub bath.)

'Enchanted Forest' from last month was precious. Very decent script, actually. Movie was shot in 16mm by the small independent producers and in Eastman color since they couldn't afford Technicolor. I loved it, but had to smile at the big bad lumberjacks marching along and singing about cutting down trees.

Funny how memory can plant a false image in my head. I had a clear image of the old man in it dressed in flowing robes, from my memory of the time I saw it when I was a kid. But he was really dressed in flannel shirt and plain pants.

Well, one thing after another came up this past week, and I missed all of the good ones from the 24th to the 28th that I wanted to see. Undecided

I've got 'Sweethearts' on right now, though, hoping to see who this Terry Kilburn is. Grin

Thanks for the great list for this past month, Zab! You're definitely one of my heroes, you know. Smiley

I am terribly sorry that you missed O'Shaugnessy's Boy, Sir J. Sad

Do give a report on Sweethearts, I haven't seen it and I'm curious how much time Terry Kilburn gets.

If you're serious about wanting to know about Terry, there's always the exhaustive BA database of actors. Smiley

Not to drive the dagger in further, but I did get to see The Decision of Christopher Blake this month and I do recommend all here see it if they have the chance.

I'm going to work preparing the July report in a few minutes.....

Unfortunately, I was working, and I got interrupted during the portions of 'Sweethearts' when Terry Kilburn appeared in it. Undecided

I'm glad you posted the link to his Profile in our database, though, because I have that 1939 version of 'Goodbye Mr. Chips', so I can see him in that. Grin

Thanks for working on the July listings! I'm looking forward to that!

Love,
Sir J
