	This Hungarian film stars a ten-year-old boy named Balázs Foky. "A Világ Legkisebb Alapítványa" (1997) 85 minutes In this film set in the late communist era, two Hungarian women whose husbands were killed in communist purges are on the French seashore with the son of one of them. The boy is recovering from some sort of ailment, and has permission to sojourn abroad. The two women quarrel a lot, especially because of the secret policemen who seem to be continuously on their heels, but they basically get along well. The young boy learns from a greedy classmate of his, in exchange for 10 creamy cakes, that his father has been hanged. This is when mother starts talking about his father who has been dead for over 10 years. She tells him that the allowance they receive is the manifestation of the bad conscious of the government, and that is why they decide to spend money on a dog-farm. When the trio return to Hungary, they are given permission to start this charitable foundation to care for stray dogs. (Oh, and for the record..... this movie also contains a 'visual delight' that is certain to not disappoint.) 	Thanks for these pictures, Nicholas. It looks like an interesting, unusual story. The boy is very handsome, and nice freckles. This is what I like: to be informed of movies/actors who I would have otherwise never known of. K

	This is what I like: to be informed of movies/actors who I would have otherwise never known of. K, Many of these films do not generate much interest or posts, simply because the movie is not readily available on vhs or dvd. If one cannot see the film, (i.e. many films from Hungary, Belgium, Russia, etc), they often do not end up in our data-base and are likely to not receive any discussion. It is most unfortunate to all the young boys who dedicated a large part of their childhood, (and for very little money in some of these countries), in allowing themselves to be filmed in such motion pictures.

	nicolas, these rare or hard to get films stand a far better chance of getting on the database if you start the thread in the MOVIE REVIEWS forum. Providing all of the follow is essential: 1. A suitable picture that can be used for a BA profile pic, such as a video or DVD cover. 2. A cast list in particular the boy actors and the characters they play. 3. A link to IMDb or to a similiar site. 4. Evidence or assurance that the movie features a boy actor or actors in reasonably significant roles. 5. An objective (not subjective) synopsis or plot summary. A BA admin or moderator can then if they have the interest or time create a profile for the movie. It often boils down to the level of interest or the amount of time someone has to make the profiles. If a thread for a movie is posted in the GENERAL DISCUSSION forum there is far less likely a chance of it getting a profile because the threads disappear off the main index within two or three days. The reason I recently moved several of your threads from here over to the MOVIE REVIEWS forum is because I think they deserve profiles and hopefully either myself or one of the other admin will eventually have time to get it done.

	It wasn't originally intended to discuss our database in particular, but that is exactly what the previous post stated.... so please accept an apology for that mistake. Its the overall discussion and posts, (on the internet, in printed works, etc), that was supposed to be referred to in the previous post! Obviously, posting film reviews in the MOVIE REVIEWS forum is a necessity. But trying to take the other steps is directly related to what the previous post was meant to describe. So many of these movies, many of them that have a young boy actor in a lead role, receive so very little attention on the internet, etc..... that it is difficult for us to find even a decent review, much less an acceptable photograph of the film. So if a film such as this doesn't receive discussion here, it is completely understandable. It is always nice to post information about a film that seems to have gone unnoticed..... and it shows how each of us in different parts of the world have differing viewpoints on the cinema in our lives. Nevertheless, in agreement with "K", it is nice to learn about these other motion pictures that we may never have heard about if it weren't for this forum. It's another aspect of BoyActors that makes this site as nice of a place as it is. (And without our administrators, we'd be at a great loss. So much thanks to all who do this or have done this, past and present). Yea, the time hath come to digress.
