This is going way back!  Almost to the beginning of talkies. . .

RKO Radio Pictures Wednesday's Child (1934) based on the play by Leopold Atlas (in which Frankie Thomas also played the role of Bobby Phillips on Broadway).

Thanks for the blast from the past!

I will certainly have to locate my copy and screen it.

You do realize B that Cinefan is not going to be happy!? Grin

My first thought was that it was from the film The Fallen Idol (1948) with Bobby Henrey as 'Phillipe' (Phillipe with two L's as he says in the film).  But was wrong.

It's been a while since I've seen Wednesday's Child (1934).  If I remember correctly, it was from the early film style where the cinematography was very 'theater like'.
Frankie Thomas, as well as most of the cast, were trained theater actors.
At that time in history, they were just getting away from 'theater acting on film' (somtimes referred to as 'mugging for the camera') to
'acting for the camera'.

Just got lucky on this one
Maybe it's because:

I'm the Caretaker here.  I've always been here.

Lucky 'bowser' ... lucky? Aagh! I cannot catch you out on anything. It is becoming an impossibility. I really thought I was in with a chance with an oldie boy actor like Frank Marion Thomas. All I can say is thank heavens for Adon Cravens.  Wink

Adon Cravens and Pierce Brosnan
Seraphim Falls (2006)

Cheesy

Interesting tie in:  We've been talking recently about CJ Adams in another thread.
John Toll was the DP on Seraphim Falls (2006)
and he was the DP on The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012).

Both of his films:
The Forgotten (2004) and Mind the Gap (2004)
are available for streaming at Netflix.

This is becoming impossible. I reckon 'bowser' must have a disc full of boy actor faces to which he can refer when poor Cinefan is trying to catch him out.   Shocked

I have Christopher Kovaleski on 'The Forgotten' DVD which wasn't a bad film though the ending was typical Hollywood. Christopher didn't have a big or difficult part but he was okay.

Bowser, you might be able to answer this for me, I watched a movie years ago with my Dad, it starred Jimmy Stewart, and Eva Marie Saint (If memory serves), it was about a woman who had become an outcast for marrying an Indian and having a Half-Breed son, Stewart was a "Gentleman" Gunslinger trying to hang up his gun. The boy looked to be around 12 or 13, I've been trying to recall the name of the movie, I hope you can help!

I promise this is not an attempt to stump you, I just would like to know the name of the movie. Smiley

That sounds like The Stalking Moon (1968) with Gregory Peck.

Noland Clay would be the boy.  This was his only film credit.

I'll try and find a photo

Hope this was the film you were looking for
