If someone could host that show like Chrispy's doing for Lockie Leonard, it would be AMAZING!

Leonard Lockie one of my favorite subjects  Smiley

If anyone want HD rips of the series the links can be found on the Blizzard site, fits nice on 2 DVD's  Cool

Thanks, OrionPax, but I've already downloaded most of LL from Chrispy's website. Not HD, but pretty good quality and I'm too lazy to download them again.

Snob's the one I'm looking for now.

Yeah, I downloaded the entire LL series a few weeks ago and it is now a favorite in my collection. The U.S. doesn't produce anything near as good as this series. Just more of the same crap reality shows and re-makes of old movies because the entertainment industry in this country seems to have run out of writing talent and ideas.

I agree.  Now you all can understand why I was willing to have a "LL marathon" to acquaint people with it... unfortunately, not too many people showed up for that, though...

Anyway, I'm glad to see it is now making it's rounds in the US (at least, amongst us)!

NO, dummies! Cognoscenti refers to the firmness of cooked pasta, as in "al dente." (Don't scold me if I mis-spelt the Italian.)

   Grin  Haha.
No, as I'm sure everyone knows, cognoscenti means "A person with superior, usually specialized knowledge or highly refined taste; a connoisseur."

Yes the singular is apparently cognoscente but I wouldn't have known myself as I've never had reason to write the word.

It's also no longer in popular use (afaik). I've heard it used a few times in period dramas, particularly uppity Italian ones.

And I do believe it has a silent 'g' and pronounced something like   ... con-ya-shen-tee
